Acrylic should not be submerged in water. Acrylic is also a form of plastic and can snap if put under stress. It is not metal and is not as sturdy as metal.
This piece is based on low quality refs from the 6.0 trailer. As such, it is not 100% true to the final in game render. There are slight modifications that will be present in the final shipped piece, but they are minor and for stability purposes.
